The #45 Car

In its third year of sponsoring Rahal Letterman Lanigan (RLL) Racing, Hy-Vee provides primary sponsorship of RLL’s No. 45 car, which will be driven by Jack Harvey, and associate sponsorships of Graham Rahal’s No. 15 car and No. 30 car, which will be driven by newcomer Christian Lundgaard. Jack Harvey, the man in the #45 cockpit is from England and has won 10 racing championships throughout his career. Did the name Letterman stand out? That would probably be because you recognize his name. The TV icon, David Letterman, is one of the owners for the RLL team. Letterman became part of the crew back in 1996.

What is the difference between Formula 1 (F1) and IndyCar?

A common confusion to racing newcomers, and rightfully so. The open wheeled race cars look the exact same to an untrained eye. For starters, IndyCar takes place in North America while F1 races throughout the world. IndyCar and F1 series have different rules for scoring along with different regulations for how the teams are allowed to build their vehicles. A simple difference in build, that most car owners would understand, is that F1 cars have power steering while IndyCars do not. This makes many fans believe that IndyCar racing is much more strenuous on the body and more physically demanding. The real question you probably want to know is which car is faster? Formula 1 or IndyCar? Well, IndyCars can reach speeds up to 240 mph while F1 tops out around 220 mph.
